public input meeting

The PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE is hosting a meeting to gather public comment on proposed alternatives the Village Utility should move forward with the Water and Well Improvement Project.

The project will likely occur over the next 3 years and will be a major project for the community with estimated capital costs between $4.5 and $8 million.  As part of the decision process, the Village held public information meetings to inform all water customers on the background and need for the project, supply and treatment alternatives, and a timeline for completion of the Water and Well Improvement Project.  The next step for the Village is to seek public feedback on the proposed project and to identify the  alternative that best meets the community’s current and future public water quality objectives.

Your input is necessary for shaping the future of this community and its water system.  Please attend the Public Comment Meeting to be held on April 08, 2019 at 6:00pm in the Municipal Center Gallery

President's Welcome

On behalf of the Village of Winneconne Board of Trustees, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our Village website. Whether a newcomer, or life-long resident of the village such as myself, I think you will find the Village of Winneconne a hard place to leave. Ours is truly a wonderful community in which to live and work, and most importantly, a great place to raise a family. Our Village offers natural beauty, neighborly kindness with a peaceful quality of life.

We are proud of our excellent schools and full-service local government, our expanding industrial community, our friendly Village businesses, and our exceptional parks system. We are proudly, the only Village in Winnebago County. We are only a few miles from State Highways 45 and 41.

The Wolf River bisects our Village and the north and south boundaries of the Village are Lakes Winneconne and Butte des Morts, home of the finest Walleye and White Bass fishing in Wisconsin. With over 100 acres of parks and open space, the Village of Winneconne is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts. The Village is also home to some of Winnebago County's more prominent Corporate Citizens. The Village downtown is well-known for its shopping and vibrant restaurant scene.

Whether you are looking for something to do or considering relocating, we hope you enjoy our website and return often.

no bags in recycling totes

Just a friendly reminder - no plastic bags in recycling carts. It creates unnecessary waste and they get caught up in the sorting equipment. Thanks!
