Bio

Mike was appointed Village Treasurer in May 2024. He brings over 15 years of professional accounting experience from the automotive industry, where he developed a strong foundation in financial management and operational efficiency. Mike has a passion for robot combat competitions and follows (and occasionally builds) battling robots.

The Village Treasurer is a key financial leadership role responsible for managing all fiscal operations of the Village of Winneconne. Reporting to the Village Administrator, the Treasurer ensures the accurate collection, deposit, and oversight of Village funds in compliance with Wisconsin State Statutes and local ordinances.

• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Reconcile general ledger and maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Develop and enforce financial policies and procedures.
• Provide strategic financial advice to Village leadership.
